Step-by-step guide to connecting the Stripe payment gateway for accepting online card payments, including verification and account management.

Stripe Connect

Reservine uses Stripe Connect for secure online payment processing. By connecting your Stripe account, you'll start accepting card payments directly to your bank account.

What Is Stripe Connect

Stripe is a global payment platform for accepting card payments (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods. Reservine acts as an intermediary -- the customer pays through Reservine and the money is automatically transferred to your Stripe account.

Step-by-Step Connection Process

1. Initiating the Connection

  1. Go to Settings > Payments
  2. In the Stripe section, click Connect with Stripe -- you'll be redirected to the Stripe website

2. Creating or Logging Into a Stripe Account

New account: Fill in business details (name, company ID, address), enter a bank account, and verify your identity (ID card or passport).

Existing account: Log in and grant access to the Reservine platform.

3. Verifying the Connection

After the connection, return to Reservine. On the Settings > Payments page, you'll see the current status.

Until the connection status is Complete, you cannot accept online payments.

Managing the Connected Account

After the connection, a View Stripe Dashboard link appears on the Settings > Payments page, where you can track payments, manage refunds, review transaction history, and change your bank account.

Transaction Fees

  • 1.4% + 0.25 EUR for European cards
  • 2.9% + 0.25 EUR for cards outside Europe

Troubleshooting

  • Connection fails -- check that all details in Stripe are filled in and try the process again
  • Status "Incomplete" won't change -- go to the Stripe Dashboard and check for additional information requests
  • Payments not arriving -- verify your bank account in the Stripe Dashboard, check for suspended payouts, and note the time delay (2-7 days)
